Parents as Role Models for Success Rituals
At PBK, we often remind students: “Who you are is more important than what you know.” That’s why one of the most powerful ways to teach success rituals is to model them yourself.
Share with your child the rituals you use to stay on track—maybe it’s planning your week, exercising daily, or showing gratitude before bed. Even better, let them see you working on new rituals, too.
When kids realize their parents are on a growth journey too, they feel encouraged to keep practicing. Together, your family becomes a team, each working toward your Personal Best.
Action Challenges
For Kids: Ask your parent what success ritual they’re working on right now. Then encourage them like they encourage you in karate.
For Adults: Choose one new ritual to model for your child this week—like putting away devices at dinner or stretching before bed. Invite them to join you, and make it a family practice.
